The Vulcans on Parade community art project began in August 2015 and, since then, sixteen miniature replicas of Birmingham’s Vulcan, the big guy, have been adopted, painted, and given their own name. Each Vulcan on Parade is an individually painted fiberglass replica of Birmingham’s Vulcan statue. Host sites work with local artists to give each replica a theme that fits the location.

Current Locations:

Current locations include Railroad Park, BJCC, City Walk, Kinetic Communications, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Birmingham Zoo, PropHouse Event Rentals, Birmingham-Southern College, Pizitz Food Hall Courtyard, Magic City Dentistry, Oak Mountain Elementary School, Redmont Distilling, Maynard-Cooper, Liverpool, England, i3 Academy and Patriot Park in Homewood. Vulcans on Parade statues are available to local businesses, communities or individuals who would like to host and/or sponsor a Vulcan or Parade statue.
