New in 2025, Molten Moments is an exclusive after-hours series at Vulcan Park & Museum featuring engaging curatorial talks with artifacts and historical themes tied to Birmingham’s past. Each event will offer cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, giving guests a chance to mingle before enjoying an interactive and intimate storytelling experience from GUEST historians and curators.

From Steel to Stage: Birmingham’s Theatre History

GUEST SPEAKER: Jennifer Jaquess, Executive Director of Red Mountain Theatre 

Birmingham’s theatre scene has long been a stage for storytelling, creativity, and cultural expression. This event, inspired by Vulcan Park & Museum’s current exhibit, From Steel to Stage: The History of Theatre in Birmingham, explores the evolution of local theatre from early vaudeville houses to modern playhouses. Artifacts on display will include vintage playbills and seating from the historic Little Theatre.

PLEASE NOTE: 

  • Each event in the series is for Adults Only – ages 21+.
  • The May 15 event is FREE, but tickets are required for entry. Guests must reserve their ticket(s) in advance. 
  • Event tickets include one (1) drink ticket and food.
  • Guests must present a valid photo ID to be served alcoholic beverages.
