The Electra Event Room

This spacious indoor banquet room is equipped with state of the art audio/visual equipment, a warming kitchen for caterers and an enclosed bar. Framed at one end with dramatic floor to ceiling windows, and its own private outdoor patio, this space offers a magnificent view of downtown Birmingham. This versatile room is ideal for meetings, seminars, luncheons, receptions or seated dinners.

Dimensions: 38′ x 49′ – 120 Seated Dinner, 200 Reception, 120 Auditorium Style, 32 Conference Style

The City Overlook

Impress guests with amazing views of Birmingham with this spacious and scenic outdoor area. The City Overlook may be used exclusively as the site for an event or in conjunction with the Electra Event Room to accommodate larger parties. Tenting is allowed. Outdoor tables and chairs not included in event booking.

Dimensions: 54′ x 67′ – 175 Seated Dinner, 250 Reception

Museum Plaza

This area, located right outside the entrance to Vulcan Center, features a giant stone map of the Birmingham area and beautiful views of downtown Birmingham on one side and the Over-the-Mountain area on the other. The Museum Plaza may be used exclusively as the site for an event or in conjunction with the Electra Event Room to accommodate larger parties. Tenting is NOT allowed. Outdoor tables and chairs not included in event booking.

Park Rules for Events

For a safe and pleasant experience, please refrain from the following prohibited activities during your EVENT:

• Drones and remote control aircraft
• Firearms
• Pets off leashes
• Smoking and vaping
• Bicycles, Skates, Skateboards, etc.
• Barbecuing
• Open flames
• Soliciting
• Balloons (outdoor use is not permitted, only indoors in Electra)
• Floating Lanterns

PROHIBITED DECOR

• Confetti
• Poppers
• Glitter
• Fake Snow
• Faux Flowers
• Feathers
• Loose Petals or Foliage

Pets are prohibited off-leash on park grounds, inside the Museum, Observation Tower, and during public events. Visitors are required to clean up after their pets and utilize the waste bags provided throughout the park. Service animals are always welcome.

Firearms 

For the safety of all visitors and staff, firearms and other weapons are strictly prohibited on the grounds of Vulcan Park & Museum, including the Museum building, Observation Tower, and all event spaces. This policy applies to both open and concealed carry.

Services Offered

In an effort to ease your event planning experience at Vulcan Park and Museum, we have partnered with B&B Bartending to provide a certified professional beverage service for all events. This service will minimize the possibility of any liability issues, provide an economical beverage solution, and will allow for a variety of beverage services offered beyond the scope of the traditional cash or open bar options. B&B offers an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options in order to effectively provide for different types of events (private, corporate, weddings, etc.). B&B Bartending has been providing exclusive beverage services for more than 10 years and is dedicated to making your event perfect.

*All events intending to serve alcohol must obtain and serve alcohol through B&B Bartending. In compliance with the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board regulations, no outside alcohol is permitted on the property including miniatures, flasks, bottles, etc.
