Bright House Networks and Vulcan® Park and Museum to Honor Veterans during “Thank-A-Vet” Celebration Jefferson County Commissioner General George Bowman will Address Students at Ceremony Honoring Veterans
Birmingham, AL (November 10, 2015) – Bright House Networks and Vulcan® Park Museum announced today that they will once again host students from two Birmingham City Schools for a museum tour and luncheon to honor U.S. Armed Forces Veterans. “Thank-A-Vet” will be held on Wednesday, November 18 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Vulcan Park and Museum.
In an effort to continue to recognize the men and women of the Armed Forces, Bright House Networks will partner with Vulcan Park and Museum to present the third annual “Thank-A-Vet” program. Students from Huffman and Wenonah High Schools will take an educational tour of Vulcan Center Museum to learn about Birmingham’s history followed by a luncheon and special presentation to honor veterans. The keynote speaker will be Jefferson County Commissioner General George Bowman. Various branches of the United States Armed Forces will be honored.
Students will arrive at 10:00 A.M. for the tour and General Bowman and guest veterans will arrive at 11:00 A.M. for the recognition program and luncheon.
