Purely Elegant Wedding Statements – P.E.W.S. partnered with The Westin Birmingham – will turn that dream into reality on September 4, 2013 with The Second Annual Pew Decorating Competition at Vulcan Park and Museum. Statewide florists, designers, and other creative vendors will showcase their sponsored pew from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Vulcan Park and Museum. With a purchase of only a $5 ticket brides-to-be and curious onlookers from the community alike are invited to see the site showcasing the themed decorated pews, refreshments from Zoe’s Kitchen of Vestavia, live music and a Pop Up Shop, of local gifts and favor ideas, sponsored by The Birmingham Bride, Birmingham’s new, beautiful resource to stylish brides. Attendees will vote on a winner and runner-up for each season, along with two overall awards: Crowd Favorite and Grand Champion. Brides can win up to $1,000 off their wedding by winning $100 gift cards in the Deluxe Bridal Drawing at the Pew Decorating Competition. But, the fun doesn’t stop there! For the next week, voting will continue via Facebook. All proceeds will benefit Vulcan Park Foundation.
