Birmingham, Alabama – Come help Vulcan blow out the candles on his cake at his big Birthday Bash on June 3 from 12-4 p.m.! For 114 years, Vulcan, the world’s largest cast iron statute has stood atop Red Mountain as a unifying symbol for generations past and present.
America’s First Federal Credit Union will provide popcorn, Birmingham Coca-Cola will sample the latest Coca-Cola products, there will be a Top Golf kid’s activity and ARC Realty’s paver reveal. NEW! We’ve added the Boost Kids fun run that will take place at the new Kiwanis Vulcan Trial between 12 and 1pm. Back by popular demand, but with a new twist will be the GameStop’s Virtual Reality game room, kid’s activities with Red Mountain Park, McWane Science Center, the Girl Scouts, Railroad Park’s corn hole, a Moonwalk and much, much more! See! The CBS Weather Truck, the Birmingham Barons Characters, UAB’s Blaze, Get Bubbly with Birmingham Parent Magazine, see a performance by Birmingham Children’s Theatre, a drum performance by Get Rhythm, Magic Town Clowns will be on- hand for face painting for kids 12 and under and balloon art, and there will be a performance by George Griffin and the Firebirds! Mayor Randall Woodfin and City Council President Valerie Abbott will be joined by other elected officials in leading the birthday song for the Big Guy at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following Bud’s Best Cookies and ice cream provided by Piggly Wiggly will be served.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for kids and Vulcan Park and Museum members and children under four get in free.
