Fairhope, Ala.— The Alabama Tourism Department recognized its 2023 award winners during the 2023 Alabama Governor’s Conference on Tourism, held on location at The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear. Both Vulcan Park & Museum, President & CEO, Emerita, Darlene Negrotto and Director of Tourism and Hospitality for the City of Hoover, Tynette Lynch were awarded Tourism Hall of Fame.

Other award winners included Rock the South, Event of the Year and Visit Tuscaloosa, Tourism Organization of the Year. Thirteen awards were presented in total.

“We have incredibly strong tourism industry professionals in Alabama, and those recognized this year are no exception,” said Lee Sentell, director Alabama Tourism Department. “Their unwavering leadership and dedication continues to elevate Alabama as one of the go-to destinations in America. We are proud to recognize the people and organizations that contribute to the success of tourism in the state.”
