Birmingham, Ala.– Vulcan Park & Museum is pleased to announce Amanda Hare as the new Director of Marketing & Public Relations. Hare previously served as the Marketing & Public Relations Manager and as Relationship Outreach Coordinator for VPM.

Hare will direct the development, implementation and assessment of annual and ongoing public relations, communications and marketing plans that support VPM’s annual earned and contributed income and goals to engage the local community and out-of-town visitors.

Hare obtained her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2014 and her master’s degree in Strategic Communication from Troy University. Hare started her career in media relations in 2015 as an Account Executive in the Tourism sector for Alabama Media Group in Birmingham. Through AmandatoryPR, she has managed media relations for clients across various industries including Temporary Emergency Services, Marilyn’s Divine Meals and All That Jazz. Amanda has also previously served as Marketing Coordinator for Bama Dining at The University of Alabama. Amanda is a member of the Birmingham chapter of Executive Women International and a board member of the Central Alabama Hospitality, Attractions and Business Association.
