Vulcan Park and Museum 10th Anniversary Reunion Reception for Founders and Supporters

Birmingham, AL – The new renaissance that downtown Birmingham is enjoying can be traced back to the support and efforts of those who spearheaded the restoration of Vulcan back in 1999. Vulcan Park and Museum will hold a Reunion Reception on Thursday, April 3 at 6pm, to celebrate and honor those who helped restore Vulcan and make the park and museum complex a reality in 2004. The reunion will be hosted by Stephen Yoder (Vulcan Park Foundation’s Founding Board Chair) and Stewart Dansby (Vulcan Park and Museum’s Founding Executive Director). Invited to attend are those individuals who contributed to Vulcan Park and Museum’s success throughout the restoration campaign and since opening in 2004. Vulcan Park and Museum’s current board members and staff will be available and will introduce the future plans for the organization. Mayor Bell is expected to attend.

Vulcan Park and Museum is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to preserve and promote Vulcan as the symbol for the Birmingham region, advance knowledge and understanding of Birmingham’s history and culture, and to encourage exploration of the region.
