Attention Birmingham bottling history buffs!
If you have an interest in vintage soft drink bottles and bottling memorabilia, the weekend of May 14 is a big one in Birmingham.
Our friends at the Alabama Bottle Collectors Society are hosting their Second Annual Alabama Bottle & Antique Show at the Gardendale Civic Center. Admission and appraisals are free. Tables are $35 for collectors or dealers. Visit them on Facebook at Alabama Bottle Collectors Society to learn more.
You can continue your exploration of bottling history right here at Vulcan Park and Museum on May 14 and 15.
Courtesy of the Southern Museum of Flight and Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, you’ll be able to see two bottling-related beauties, a biplane that advertised Grapico in the 1940s, and a circa 1927 Coca-Cola delivery truck. Be sure to check out our latest exhibit, Birmingham Bottling: Soft Drinks in the Magic City while you’re here!
Tickets to Vulcan Park & Museum are usually $6 for adults, $5 for Seniors (65+), $4 for children (5-12). But let us know you were at the Alabama Bottle & Antique Show and get a discounted rate on May 14 and 15 only.
