Join the Birmingham Chapter of the American Rosie the Riveter Association on September 2, at 11 a.m. for “Ring a Bell for Rosies”.

Rosies with their friends, families, communities, and other supporters across the United States and in some other countries will be ringing bells of all kinds to honor Rosies which worked on the homefront in World War II. At noon, the program will conclude with the group ringing their bells for Rosies, overlooking the city of Birmingham.

The program will also include music, refreshments, Rosie tributes, and a personal word by Dr. Fran Carter, the founder of the American Rosie the Riveter Association, and other Rosies from Birmingham. Emcee of the program will be Jeff Eliasoph of Birmingham’s WVTM/NBC 13.

You may bring your own bell, or bells will be provided. Please bring a photograph of your Rosie to share.

The public is encouraged to attend this FREE event, and particularly women who were Rosies and Descendants of Rosies even if the Rosie is deceased, are especially invited.
