Birmingham, Ala. — Applications are now being accepted for Vulcan Park and Museum’s Junior Leadership Board’s 2017-2018 term. The purpose of the Junior Leadership Board is to support the mission and needs of  Vulcan Park and Museum and to assist leadership with general promotion of the organization.

Junior Leadership Board members will have many opportunities to become involved including continued development of the Vulcans On Parade community art project among other events and fundraisers associated with the well-known Birmingham institution.

Other benefits include, but are not limited to, an opportunity to possibly serve on the Board of Directors in the future, invitations to special events (members-only receptions, 2017 The Vulcans Community Awards, and more), and the ability to expand your horizons and network with a diverse group of young professionals.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Junior Leadership Board at Vulcan Park and Museum,” said chairman Justin Drummond. “This group has provided so many opportunities for young professionals to support the iconic symbol of our great city and the non-profit organization that makes a positive impact on our community every single day. It’s a great feeling to be associated with that.”

Applications will be accepted from February 1 until April 1, 2017 and the term will begin July 1, 2017.

Applicants must be between the ages of 21-45. To be considered, please complete and submit the Application and New Member Information forms at visitvulcan.com/support/volunteer as well as a resume for review.
